Internships

ICT’s Internship Program

ICT offers unpaid year round internships for undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate students.  Interns will be provided with the opportunity to contribute to the Institute’s daily research activities and events, while under the supervision of an ICT researcher.

What projects are available for ICT Interns?

Past ICT Interns have worked on the following projects:

  • World Summit on Counter-Terrorism: ICT’s Annual Conference

  • Jihadi Websites Monitoring Group

  • ICT Terrorist Incidents and Profiles Database

  • ICT Cyber-Desk Review

  • The Islamist Radicalization Index

  • De-radicalization Processes

  • Jihadi Arenas and Terrorist Networks

  • Terrorist Rationality and Decision-Making

  • Articles on current events related to terrorism and counter-terrorism

  • Mapping theaters of Jihad

  • Working Groups

ICT Internship for BA IDC Students

Second and third year IDC BA students are eligible to apply to the ICT internship program. BA students have the ability to join one of the ongoing projects at the ICT and their research will be guided by an ICT researcher.

How to Apply?

Please send your CV via email to [email protected]. Please include a short letter of motivation explaining why you are interested in interning at the ICT. Acceptance into the internship is pending on an evaluation process.

ICT Internship for MA IDC Students

IDC MA students are eligible to apply to the ICT internship program. The ICT internship for MA students is aimed at developing writing and research skills in the field of terrorism. Students work on in-depth research projects under the guidance of an ICT researcher. Meetings take place with other MA students to help students through the research process.

How to Apply?

Please send your CV via email to [email protected]. Please include a short letter of motivation explaining why you are interested in interning at the ICT. Acceptance into the internship is pending on an evaluation process.

ICT Internship for students from outside of the IDC

The Internship for students from abroad takes place at the Institute itself, at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC), Herzliya. The ICT Internship lasts a minimum of three months and participants work a minimum of 28 hours a week.  

Interns will also have the opportunity to attend seminars and lectures lead by prominent academics, practitioners and decision-makers.

Please send your full application via email to [email protected]; please attach your CV, academic transcript, a writing sample, an academic letter of recommendation, and a short letter of motivation explaining why you are interested in interning at the ICT. In addition, please include the potential date of your internship.  Please send all documents in one complete application.
