Dr. David Scharia
	Dr. David Scharia Dr. Scharia’s (PhD, L.L.M (Magna Cum Laude)) fields of academic and practical interests include law and terrorism, criminal law, international cooperation in criminal matters, money laundering, financing of terrorism and prosecution of terrorist offences. Dr. Scharia is a Legal Officer at the Counter Terrorism Executive Directorate (CTED) at the United Nations Security Council. During 2000-2005, Dr. Scharia was a First Senior Deputy at the Supreme Court Division in the Attorney General’s office in Israel. In that role he was the Lead Attorney in major counter-terrorism cases before the Supreme Court of Israel and headed the CT Internal Investigations Unit. During that time Dr. Scharia was also the Chair of the Inter-ministerial Counter-Terrorism Committee and served as a Member of the expert's forum on "Democracy and Terrorism” established by the Israel Democratic Institute. Dr. Scharia published several articles in the field of law and terrorism and he is a frequent lecturer on these issues in international forums.
