The ICT Online Internship Program offers a unique opportunity to gain professional experience, boost your career profile, build an international professional network and expand your skill set. The International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT) at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC), Herzliya offers unpaid online internships for undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate students designed to expose students to the world of counter-terrorism research. Throughout their time with the ICT, interns will receive online access to ICT’s researchers and materials, as well as the opportunity to attend online seminars, lectures, conferences, and foremost the annual international conference.
The ICT offers three internship terms for the 2020-2021 academic year:
Term 1 – Nov 8th, 2020 – Jan 24th, 2021 (application deadline: Nov 1st, 2020, at 23:59).
Term 2 – March 7th, 2021 – June 20th, 2021 (application deadline: March 1st, 2021, at 23:59).
Term 3 – July 1th, 2021 – October 1st, 2021 (application deadline: June 24th, 2021, at 23:59).
The ICT offers two types of Internship Programs:
Full-Time Internship Program – the Full-Time Internship Program Interns will have the opportunity to conduct an in-depth research project on a topic of their choosing and will be offered the option of presenting their paper for review for publication, giving them the ability to complete the internship with a published paper. Normally, the internship would have taken place at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya, where ICT is located. However, due to Covid-19 restrictions, this year, the ICT offers an online internship program. Interns are required to work five days a week, from 10:00 to 17:00 / seven hours per day (depending on the intern’s time zone). Additionally, candidates must provide at least one academic letter of recommendation, please have your referee send the letter to [email protected].
Part-Time Internship Program – the Part-Time Internship Program is only open to IDC Students. The internship will either be on a voluntary basis or for credits.
