Halpern, Michaela (Adv.)

Michaela Halpern is a Research Fellow at the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT) at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC), Herzliya and is a New York qualified attorney. Adv. Halpern is finishing her PhD at Queen Mary University of London Center for Commercial Law Studies. She holds an LLB honors from the University of Edinburgh and an LLM in International Legal Studies with distinction from Georgetown. Prior to beginning her PhD, she engaged in the representation of countries and multinational corporations as part of the international arbitration team of Arnold & Porter in London, she has also worked at the World Bank and at NGOs including Human Rights First and the American Red Cross International Law Department. Adv. Halpern has served as a Global Teaching Fellow on extradition and terrorism at Georgetown University Law Center, was involved in training students for the international Jean-Pictet Competition, and has taught a few courses at the IDC Radzyner School of Law including an introductory course on the Law of War.
