Lisa Dahl, 24, is a research assistant at the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT), originally from Germany. After acquiring her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from universities in Cologne and Hamburg, she obtained a Master of Science in International Security from the University of Bristol, UK. Throughout the course of her studies, she focused on topics related to Islamist terrorism, resulting in her Master’s dissertation — “Is Jihad Going Viral? The State of Terrorist Use of Cyberspace and a Critical Review of Current Responses to Digital Threats”.
During her internship at the ICT, she plans to research how the changing modus operandi of Islamist terrorism is linked to technological advance and psychological factors.
