Hamel, Todd (Lt. Col.)

LTC Todd Hamel was commissioned as a Field Artillery Officer after graduating from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. In 2011, LTC Hamel transitioned to serve as an Army Strategic Intelligence Officer and holds a Master of Science in Strategic Intelligence from the National Intelligence University, Washington D.C. He has served in a variety of operational and strategic level leadership positions and participated in both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Inherent Resolve. Prior to assuming his current duties, LTC Hamel served as the Chief of Plans, Directorate for Intelligence (J2), Joint Staff.

United States Army War College Fellow, International Institute for Counter-Terrorism, Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya, Israel
His military education includes the Field Artillery Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, Combined Arms Services Staff School, Command and General Staff College, the Strategic Intelligence Officers Course, Joint Firepower Control Course, Joint Targeting Staff Course, and Airborne School.
LTC Hamel is married to Jade Hamel, a U.S. Army Officer, and they have two children.
